Start your year feeling truly rested, nurtured and centered...and see how the impact ripples out into the rest of your 2025.

Winter is a season for hibernating + down time but this can be tricky with the hustle of the everyday. Join us at the beginning of the year to cocoon yourself in resting + nourishing yourself on all levels and beginning to perhaps dream of the year ahead…

join us for Retreat into Rest.

A much loved annual residential retreat now in it's third year, there is a focus on slowing down + living harmoniously with the seasons. This is more than something to look forward to in the coldest and darkest part of the year, it can be the spark to a flame that can burn bright and guide you for the months ahead.

If we look to nature for our cues, the dead of winter is not the time for drastic change, but rather an excellent time for hibernation and infusing our being with warmth, in all senses of the word...

Allow us to help you do just that as we unwind and relax in a picturesque restored vicarage in the north Yorkshire Dales with a beautiful, fully equipped yoga studio.

You’ll practice yoga, meditation & breath work daily, delve into workshops, gather around fires, feast on delicious seasonal dishes, connect with like minded people and dare to slow down.

Arrival time is from 5:30pm on Thurs 23rd Jan, with the opening circle Friday morning to allow space for everyone to settle in + accommodate different arrival times.

Kind words from previous Retreat into Rest participants

"I’m so incredibly proud of the work that I’ve done over the last year (since the first retreat), giving myself space to rest, and ultimately recover, and I’m so incredibly grateful to you, Marie, for facilitating the experience that made me realise that rest is not only productive but it is vital for us to be the best version of ourselves - for us and those around us. I’m going to keep on building what I’ve started, and I’m so grateful you helped me start on this journey."

FAQS

I haven't been practicing yoga for very long, can I join?

Absolutely. Whether you've just started your yoga journey or are a seasoned practitioner you are welcome. There is an emphasis during this retreat on slower and more gentle movement, making it perhaps even more accessible for those newer to yoga.

Do I need to come with someone?
No! Most people join retreats solo and often don't know any of the other participants, but we all leave as friends by the end. Feel free to come with friends, family or loved ones or on your own ~ we have accommodation options for you all.

What should I bring?
Yoga mats & props including bolsters, blocks, belts, blankets + eye pillows will be provided but if you would like to bring your own mat + blankets etc you are welcome to. Please bring comfy warm clothes to move in, clothes for outdoor walks (inc walking boots if you have them), a water bottle, journal + pen.

What is the main emphasis of the practices we'll be exploring?
REST! The main focus of the practices will be exploring mind, body and breath connection and our sense of home within ourselves through slow, gentle, nourishing movement. We will practice Yin & Yoga Nidra meditation in the evenings and slow, gentle mindful movement, meditation and breath work in the morning. The workshops will cover a range of complementary topics.

Do I have to attend everything on the itinerary?
No ~ you are welcome to attend as much or as little as you want to. There is ample free time scheduled around activities so that we can rest and integrate, but everyone is welcome to adjust it to their own rhythm.

Is there anyone that the retreat is NOT suitable for?
Unfortunately the retreat will not be suitable for anyone under 16, who is pregnant or has given birth in the last six weeks.
